Why TORAY Materials?

Toray’s thermoplastic solutions offer the following benefits in addition to the lightweighting benefit and are suited to a diverse range of processing methodologies, thus providing design and operational efficiencies.

Recyclable

As stewards of the environment, Toray developed its Cetex® thermoplastic RTLs to be recovered for use in alternate parts, allowing 100% utilization of the raw material. Toray actively participates in programs with customer and research groups to develop new recycling technologies and applications.

Excellent FST Properties

The Cetex® portfolio includes resin systems developed to meeting the most demanding flame, smoke, and toxicity (FST) standards, enabling manufacturers to design and produce highly structural and durable components while still providing the highest degree of safety for mass transit applications.

Fast Processing

Cetex® reinforced thermoplastic laminates (RTLs) are orientated to your required specifications, and can be press formed in minutes and overmolded for one shot processing.

Chemical Resistant

Cetex® thermoplastic advanced composites deliver outstanding moisture and solvent resistance, including fuel and hydraulic fluids, making them the material of choice for a wide range of demanding applications.

Carbon fiber products significantly contribute to curbing of global warming in terms of life cycle assessment and Toray also actively participates in programs with customer and research groups to develop new recycling technologies and applications.
