OX Continuous Fibers

ZOLTEK™ OX continuous fibers are oxidized/stabilized PAN fibers that are inherently fire resistant, thermally stable, exhibit excellent resistance to chemicals and solvents and are electrically nonconductive. ZOLTEK™ OX continuous uncrimped tow is suitable for stretch breaking into yarn, chopping into short fiber lengths and flock, or crimping and cutting into staple fibers for nonwoven or yarn spinning applications. It is also suitable for aircraft brake preforms.

Features

Flame Resistant

ZOLTEK™ OX is inherently flame resistant, making it an effective heat-blocking and fire-barrier material. It outperforms all other organic flame-resistant fibers in terms of limiting oxygen index, and does so at a very competitive price.

Consistent Quality

Our AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified manufacturing systems provide the consistent quality required in safety critical applications such as aircraft brakes.

Textile Nature

ZOLTEK™ OX textile products retain their appearance, have a soft hand and retain their textile characteristics, even after being exposed to open flames. In addition to not burning, melting or dripping, ZOLTEK™ OX fibers also do not shrink and will self-extinguish when exposed to flame.

Chemicals Resistance, Friction Resistance

ZOLTEK™ OX is often used as a braking material in extreme conditions, such as in environments where resistance to harsh temperatures, chemicals and friction is needed.
